Haiku by Poet Dakota Williams

dawn morn to dusk night
in tune with rested season-
haiku are written

April rainy day
palm print on pane fogged glass-
mind lost in wonder
__________________________________
climbing vine jasmine
blossoms of natures perfume-
hummingbird hoovers
_____________________________________
read Basho Haiku's
his short lived life in seasons
the perfect snapshot
____________________________________
Roses of romance
budding summer nights in bloom
tender petals cling
___________________________
cirrus night flower
under the night of high moon-
flourishes and blooms
___________________________
Bright red velvet rose
rays of energy the sun-
the thorns multiply
____________________
botan Indigo
glows brightly in the sun rays-
seeps deep reddish blue
__________________________
Pink butter cup groves
spring awakens the meadow-
wind and nature dance
___________________________
Suckled sweet Nectar
spring rustles in morning dew-
blooms of magnolia
___________________
Dusk falls into Dawn
horizon of autumn sun-
leaves of color change
___________________________
Twig silk built cocoon
mother natures resting womb-
monarch butterfly
____________________________
Morning has broken
all the world is in season-
earth is bountiful
___________________________
Life is a journey
many revolving seasons
Death tills the soil
____________________________
Vortex atmosphere
spirited dust devils roam
mother earth revolves
______________________
baby's breath bouquet
rooted among the walk way
my children grown- gone
______________________________
went outside to read
to escape common places -
eyeing gnats about
______________________________
time clock on the wall
the seasons tick tock journeys-
the albatrosse soars
______________________________
muddy puddle rain

red birds bath in unison
one a whistle guard
_____________________________
pink sun sets upon
a sky blue cloud- horizon
lighting strikes

Behind The Poem:

I enjoy writing Haiku's- I hope you enjoy these I have attempted to write. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read them, I appreciate it so very much. I enjoy reading the Haiku works of Basho, Buson and Issa, and that is where I find my inspiration and my love for writing Haiku's.
